This year's festival started on Tuesday 8th May, but it's not too late to go as it runs until the 20th May.
This sunny weekend you can enjoy readings from the works of Charles Dickens, and there will be a celebration of the bicentenary of one of our best loved authors.
Not only Dickens, however, as 2012 also happens to be the bicentenary of Robert Browning, and the theme of 'great expectations' (or not) will be extended to the Olympics, Paralympics, the tragic sinking of the Titanic exactly 100 years ago, and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Tickets vary in price from £7.00 to £15.00 for adults and £3.00 to £8.00 for under 18s. Full details and a complete schedule are in the Festival brochures which are available from the library and most shops in the village or at: http://tinyurl.com/7zqqw9g
Tickets are available by telephone from 01494 873966 between 11am and 8pm
