Do not miss this opportunity to nominate a worthy Beaconsfield resident and make their dream come true.

South Bucks District Council have posted the following announcement ...

2012 is going to be a year of celebration here in Buckinghamshire, and what better way to celebrate than by winning tickets to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games?

As host authorities for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Buckinghamshire County Council and South Bucks District council have been able to secure tickets for the Rowing and Sprint-Canoeing events at our venue at Dorney Lake and for the opening and closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.

The two host authorities are offering residents the unique opportunity to win these highly sought after tickets. We want to ensure that the tickets go to the most deserving residents of Buckinghamshire: residents who demonstrate the Olympic and Paralympic values of courage, determination, inspiration, equality, respect, friendship and excellence in everything they do and who provide an inspiration to all around them.

If you know somebody who does just that, maybe they are a young carer, a member of the armed forces or a friendly neighbour, and who deserves a reward then download and complete the simple nomination form attached at the bottom of the this page or by filling out an e-form (this will take you to Bucks County Council's website).

Please return all printed out nomination forms to:

The Judging Panel, Bucks CC 2012 Programme Team, Old County Hall, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA

All application forms must be in before 31st March 2012.

A panel of representatives from the local media, armed forces and elected Members from both authorities will award tickets to the events at Dorney Lake to applicants whom they consider most closely fulfil the criteria and have demonstrated the Olympic and Paralympic values in their everyday life.

Four exceptional applicants will also win tickets to the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games.

Your application is limited to 400 words in total (not including Nominee or Nominator details). To help with this you may want to write your responses within a Word document in advance then copy into the electronic form.

Before filling out an application form please make sure you have read the terms and conditions:
