We the undersigned petition the council to inform the PCT that this is the absolute minimum emergency service that is acceptable to the people of Wycombe. We, the undersigned, are concerned that at recent public consultation meetings, the NHS Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire PCT Cluster have refused to give a commitment that the Emergency Medical Centre at Wycombe Hospital will continue to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We therefore call on the County Council Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee to inform the PCT that this is the absolute minimum emergency service that is acceptable to the people of Wycombe.

We want to ensure that emergency medical services are available 24 hours a day at Wycombe Hospital. The PCT are suggesting that in future only Stoke Mandeville will have a 24 hour emergency medical service.
