Police Operation at Beaconsfield Fair a Success
Area Commander, Supt Steve Hockin, said: The fair is an annual event that is usually much looked forward to by the community and each year we have members of the neighbourhood policing team in attendance to speak to and engage with local residents.
"Last year there was some minor disorder and subsequently some arrests were made.
"This year, we wanted to make sure that the fair could be enjoyed by everyone and that if any individuals intent on causing problems were dealt with robustly.
"Hopefully the additional officers were able to prevent and deter any trouble as we didn't have to make any arrests. In fact, my officers have said how they enjoyed the opportunity to interact and engage with the community.
"I would like to thank the public for their support and hope that next year the fair is just as successful."
