South Bucks District Council write that, 'Games in the Park' is back, and it's bigger and better this Easter Holidays, and what's more it's coming to Beaconsfield Holtspur Recreation Ground on Wednesday the 4th April!

These popular Olympic themed events for the young residents of South Bucks are FREE and will include an exciting variety of sports and arts activities.

2012 is an exciting year for sport and this is your opportunity to get inspired and try out sports such as tag rugby, football and hockey. But that's not all; this Easter South Bucks District Council has teamed up with Baseball and Softball UK who are aiming to develop more sport in the District. Their coaches will teach you the essential skills of Baseball and Softball and help you get to grips with this exciting sport.

South Bucks District Council's Councillor Anita Cranmer Portfolio Holder for Community says, "With less than five months to go to the Olympics we are continuing to bring the excitement of the Games to every door step and at the same time build on the popularity of previous, 'Games in Park,' events. It is really encouraging to see the enormous enthusiasm of young people in South Bucks towards sports and arts and as a host authority for the London 2012 Olympics this is yet another project we are running to help build on that enthusiasm and excitement."

Games in the Park will be running from 10am to 3pm and all you need to do is turn up, no need to book! …. And don't forget it's FREE.

Sports activities will be running all day and arts activities will be available between 11am and 2pm. All activities are for children aged 6-16 years. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

What a great thing to do with the children over the holidays. And it's all free so that's even better!
