A fantastic opportunity to have a go at playing badminton over the next three months is on offer in Beaconsfield. The FREE play offer, which is open to all ages, will be taking place on three separate days over the next three months in the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
South Bucks District Council's Sports Development Team has worked in partnership with the Beaconsfield Badminton Club to create this offer which will take place on Thursday 3rd May, Thursday 7th June and Thursday 5th July from 8 – 10pm.
South Bucks District Council supports the Bucks Legacy Programme which provides the chance for people to try an Olympic sport free of charge in 2012.
South Bucks District Councillor Anita Cranmer, Portfolio Holder for Community, says, "Badminton is a wonderfully social sport that is both healthy and accessible to people of all ages and standards. This is a great opportunity for residents to give this enjoyable sport a try or to dust off that old racket, get back on court and get back into the game again."
The venue for the 3rd May and 5th July sessions will be at Beaconsfield High School, Wattleton Road, Beaconsfield whilst the 7th June session will take place at The Beaconsfield School also on Wattleton Road, Beaconsfield.
