This is the Olympic event for all the family! You don't need tickets and you don't have to travel across London.

More importantly you can join in.

On Saturday July 7th the area around Wattleton Road, the High School and Beaconsfield School will become the venue for the Beaconsfield Games.

Some events will take place in other venues across Beaconsfield.

There will be something for all ages culminating in an evening concert and medal ceremony.

More information about the games is available on the website: thebeaconsfieldgames.org

Like the London Olympics these games should be sustainable, so please cycle or walk to the venues if you can. It will also promote diversity by providing events for all abilities.

Hopefully the legacy is that you will enjoy the activities and want to try a new sport.

More than anything the day will be fun.

The Beaconsfield Games will rely on many volunteers to make them work. Stewards and events leaders needed. There is even a need for a litter picking crew! Could you help? Please contact Matt Denyer, mathew.denyer@btconnect.com if you can.

Diamond Jubilees and Olympic Games are unique experiences in our lifetime. This is one of many celebrations in the town. Our diaries are going to be full, so put this in your diary now!

The Beaconsfield Games, supported by the town council, organised by the community for the community.
