Christmas Shopping in Beaconsfield
As promised here is a list of specific gift ideas gleaned from a recent reconnaissance trip around those stores.
Beaconsfield Wine Cellars do excellent Christmas hampers and have a great range of cigars.
Laithwaites also do hampers. Other stand out gifts include personally selected cases, wine experiences and gift vouchers.
Eden Rose Gifts have a great selection of tasteful gifts that include fair trade knitted animals and the Rice and Bombay Duck ranges. They also do gift wrapping which is bonus in these busy times.
Pop into Temptations for the seminal Space Hopper, 3D puzzles and family fun games.
Walking into David Shuttle Fine Dining and Gifts is like entering the Tardis, the shop floor just goes on and on. The standouts for me were the excellent selection of wine accessories, Swarovski range and homewares. They also do gift wrapping and will be open for late night shopping in the lead up to Christmas.
Looking for something for the kids, pop into the Fun Junction. They have an excellent range of Play Mobile, Sylvanians and Melissa & Doug.
If it's childrens books your after you've got to go to the Beacon Book Shop who have a great selection. It's worth noting they have a sale on at the moment that runs until the 5th November. It must also mention they have a comprehensive range of books about Beaconsfield.
Space NK do Christmas sets and Christmas Wish Lists. They also do gift wrapping. They will be holding a number of evening events in the lead up to Christmas, so watch this space!
Bourne End Jewellers is the place to go to for something that sparkles and shines. They are not just a retailer and have jewellers sitting at the bench who can make pieces based on your own design or custom make items you already own.
If you want to give something that will also make a difference to those in need I recommend popping into Oxfam. Via their Oxfam Unwrapped range of gifts you can Teach a Teacher, Plant an Allotment, Train a Farmer, Educate a Child, Save Trees and much, much more.
Hope this has been of some help. Happy hunting Christmas shoppers!!!

When you see a list like this you realise how many great shops Beaconsfield has to offer. I think everyone should try and support local shops this year when buying presents.
