The previous Monarch to achieve this was Queen Victoria in 1897. Queen Elizabeth has reigned through some of the most profound and breathtaking changes ever to have taken place in our history, such as decimalisation, the National Health Service, space travel and the internet.'

Beacons
2,012 Beacons will be lit across the UK to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee on Monday 4th June. In Buckinghamshire, our aim is to have 60 Beacons throughout the county. The first 60 Buckinghamshire Beacons to officially register by April 30th will have the location of their Beacon in a special book given to the Queen after the event.

You can of course celebrate with Street Parties and other celebration events.
Street parties are a popular way for residents to celebrate major national days of celebration such as Coronations, Royal Weddings and Jubilees. They are a good excuse to get to know your neighbours and can build stronger communities, bringing together people of all ages.
Buckinghamshire County Council would love to hear what events we have planned Beaconsfield. By putting your event in their Events Calendar you may inspire others to organise their own!
